I think I'm becoming a hippie. All I want to do is wear big bangles, hoop earrings and flowy skirts. Maybe I'm just antsy for spring, or maybe I'm doing too much yoga.
I have a new goal for the year. I want to run a half marathon. My heel is still not up to par, but I've stayed off it for two months and now I don't care anymore. It hurts when I stretch it and when I leave it alone at random points. So I'm just going to invest in some good running shoes and hopefully go for it. Too bad I can't train in time for any spring runs. Looks like I'll just take it slow for the fall where I'll hopefully run a half marathon in Bhutan or Thailand.
Ah for Christmas break. I am not looking forward to traveling with other grumpy people, but it will be so nice to get home and see my family and not worry about how it's -25 wind chill here in Chicago.
I'm a little behind on updating my winter to do list. My fall list of things to do ended as a smashing success I do say though.
So here's what I'd like to do this winter:
Go see the lights on Mag Mile and Macy's windows: It's lame and touristy I know, but I have great memories of the few times I was in NYC as a kid and got to see the city all trussed up, so I'd like to keep the tradition
Snowball fight in the park: no explanation needed.
Knit more: I have a scarf that has been begging to be finished for a while now, and some arm warmers that are also calling to me.
Burlesque performance: I'm so excited and happy and nervous that I could throw up. But really, I am excited to be on stage again, and practicing new skillz.
Reach 100 posts on FnF: I'm at 70 currently, so I need to write a lot in December, but I think it'd be a good end to the year.
Buy a NYE dress: I've been trolling eBay for finds, but nothing's really grabbed me yet. There was a beautiful dress I saw on Zappos, but its $300, so I need to wait if I love it first.
Snowboard: I have wanted to go every year I've been in Chicago and haven't yet! Tragic since there are plenty of places close by.
Hot cocoa and cuddles: My apartment is a little chilly. A human radiator from time to time is a nice thing.
I wanted to steal this dead bee hive for you. It's perfect. Grey swirls with red leaves still clinging to the sides of a barren tree. We could climb inside and make it home.
I think one of my goals in life is going to be to write a romance novel. I think they're hilarious and writing something so over-the-top dramatic and dirty would be really freeing. And just think of the cover options! Problem is, I don't read them, at all, and I feel like I would need to in order to write one. Guess I'll either need to get on that, or reinvent the genre.
So I realized that my hair is a completely different color in every FnF post I've put a photo of myself in, and two of the colors were both this month, which is even funnier I think.
Speaking of which, since my tattoo appointment was rescheduled until Thursday, I think some hair dye is in order.
